The Reading Program is designed to to empower individuals, including dyslexic learners, by addressing the root causes of reading challenges and fostering confidence and fluency. Through a combination of hands-on techniques and mental strategies, participants develop the skills needed to read with ease, comprehension, and enjoyment.
Purpose:
This program helps individuals:
Recognize and control mental states that lead to distorted perceptions of letters, words, and numerals.
Build fluency, comprehension, memory, and a positive mindset for confident reading.
Overcome emotional roadblocks, such as stress and frustration, to create an ideal mental state for learning.
Age
Appropriate for children with a maturity of age seven through adults.
Length of Program
Approximately 30 hours, typically given over the course of five consecutive days, and unlimited hours of follow-up consultation included without extra charge.
How It Works:
Orientation Technique: Participants learn to stabilize their perceptions by turning off thought processes that cause distortions. This creates a calm and focused mental state, ideal for reading and learning.
Concept Mastery: Using multi-sensory techniques, such as clay modeling, learners internalize abstract concepts, enabling them to think with symbols and words. For example:
Modeling the alphabet, numerals, and punctuation marks ensures accurate recognition and understanding.
Creating 3D clay models of sight words (e.g., "and," "the," "it") links their meanings with their spellings, making learning permanent.
Participants can expect:
Improved fluency, including smooth eye-tracking, mastery of sight words, and whole-word recognition for fluid reading.
Enhanced comprehension, with strategies for understanding punctuation, story structures, and retaining information from the first read-through.
Strengthened memory and spelling, using techniques for long-term retention and adaptable study strategies.
Better editing skills, such as self-correcting for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors while adding helpful details.
A relaxed and positive mindset that reduces frustration, builds confidence, and decreases test anxiety.
Results: Most participants achieve remarkable results
An average gain of three grade levels in reading comprehension and fluency.
Second-grade students typically achieve grade-level reading skills, while adults may progress by as much as six grade levels in just one 30-hour week.
